We are deeply saddened by the passing of Maryanne Trump Barry at the age of 86.
As the older sister of former President Donald J. Trump, Maryanne led a distinguished life, marked by her notable contributions to the judiciary.
She was found in her New York City apartment on November 13th, where emergency responders were called, but unfortunately, she had already passed.
Maryanne’s career was one of great achievement, serving as a senior judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Appointed to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey by President Ronald Reagan in 1983 and later elevated to the Court of Appeals by President Bill Clinton in 1999, she demonstrated a steadfast commitment to justice.
In recent years, she faced scrutiny over alleged financial matters involving her family, leading to her retirement in 2019.
Though she and her brother Donald had their differences, her passing represents a profound loss for the Trump family.
We extend our deepest sympathies to the Trump family as they mourn the loss of an extraordinary woman and dedicated public servant.
