The employees were certain that the lovely youngster would be adopted soon after seeing his cheery and extra-snuggly disposition.

Drools, on the other hand, has already been in the shelter for a record-breaking 720 days – and there’s still little possibility of him finding a home anytime soon.

Kacey Widetich, a “Relay For Rescue” volunteer, has been caring for Drools for several months and feels that his lack of exposure is one of the reasons he has gone unnoticed all this time.

Another reason for Drools’ “undesirability” is that he becomes nervous around other cats and dogs and needs to be the only pet in the house.

Drools’ emotional well-being has suffered as a result of the continuous rejections. The typically happy-go-lucky canine has been feeling particularly lonely, despondent, and hopeless in recent months.

Kacey was quick to see the dog’s fading radiance. She now spends her evenings at Drools’ kennel, making him feel loved and safe.

In desperation, the shelter has turned to the public for help in finding Drools his perfect home. Drools is initially wary of strangers, but once he interacts with them, he becomes exceedingly devoted and loving. He gets along well with children and prefers moderate to strenuous activities.

If you believe Drools is the dog for you, please get in touch with Conour Animal Shelter or Relay For Rescue. Conour Animal Shelter is also gathering funds to help not only Drools, but all of the other dogs at their shelter have happy lives and find loving homes.
