Amid swirling rumors of her separation from husband Ben Affleck, singer and actress Jennifer Lopez has decided to cancel her upcoming tour, as reported by TMZ.
The decision, disclosed by tour promoter Live Nation, states that the mother of two is taking a break to spend time with her children, family, and close friends.
The tour was scheduled to kick off in mid-June to promote her latest album This Is Me…Now, released in February.
“I am completely heartbroken and devastated to disappoint you. Rest assured, I wouldn’t do this without feeling it’s absolutely necessary,” shared the 54-year-old in her newsletter, On The JLo.
“I promise I will make it up to you, and we will be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time.”
Contrary to rumors of poor ticket sales, a source informed the Daily Mail that this was not a factor in Lopez’s decision. However, Variety reported that the singer had previously canceled seven dates in March.
“Jennifer made this hard decision earlier this week, and she regrets any disappointment to her fans,” the source stated.
Ticketmaster will automatically refund tickets purchased through their platform, while those bought from third-party resellers need to contact the respective vendor for further assistance.
Recent public sightings of the couple were scarce, with their last appearance on May 30 en route to the graduation party of Affleck and his ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s daughter, Violet.
Lopez and Affleck, affectionately known as Bennifer, are rumored to be living separately. They reunited and remarried in 2022, almost two decades after their initial romance in the early 2000s.
