As winter approaches, the need for shelter and warmth becomes critical for both humans and animals, especially those without a place to call home. The Barreirinha bus terminal in Curitiba, Brazil, has taken a compassionate and proactive approach to help homeless dogs in their community.
Without discrimination or judgment, the employees of the bus station welcomed three homeless pups into their facility. These dogs – named Max, Pitoco, and Zoinho – were provided with new beds and cozy blankets, ensuring their safety and warmth during the cold season.
The heartwarming act of kindness did not go unnoticed. Local politician Fabiane Rosa commended the employees for their compassion and shared the story on social media, where it quickly gained attention and praise.
In a translated Facebook post, Rosa expressed her admiration, saying, “Congratulations to the terminal staff, everyone understands that these angels are there and have a right to be. So many companies in Curitiba could follow this example, adopting a pet. Of course it is not the ideal, but at least there are those who are looking after them.”
This heartwarming gesture serves as a reminder of the impact of simple acts of kindness and compassion. By extending a helping hand to animals in need, the employees at Barreirinha bus station have set an inspiring example for others to follow. It takes little effort to make a difference – all it requires is a willingness to act.
