The dog limped across the road, begging for food. Her paws were scraped on the rough dirt paths, yet no passersby showed any compassion. That evening, we rushed her to the veterinarian, who revealed that her paw had been deformed since birth. The surgery performed would enable her to walk normally, and to our surprise, she tested negative for any contagious illnesses.
Only her minor wounds required attention. Taking her back to our place, we introduced her to other dogs who had also faced similar hardships. Despite her past struggles, she still believed in the kindness of people. Late that night, a noise caught my attention, and I found her saving her dinner for later. Perhaps her time on the streets had taught her to save food for times of scarcity, aiding in her survival. I had many questions about her origins – was she abandoned or born homeless?
However, as I cared for her, the answer became clear. Her behavior indicated that she had once belonged to a home. I decided to name her Natasha, a fitting name for her. Occasionally, I would catch her lost in thought, reminiscing about her past home. In her eyes, our place had become her true sanctuary. She was quick to defend her newfound friends when a passing dog barked loudly.
Upon revisiting the vet, Natasha’s exceptional health surprised the doctor once again. Was it divine intervention that granted her such resilience and protection? Even in the face of abandonment, she refused to give in to her circumstances.
Why would they treat such a loving dog in that manner? Are you familiar with Masha, this young girl? As her condition improved, she grew to love Natasha a lot.
If she had arrived here on the first day with dejected eyes Do you notice how much happier her friends were when they were around her? These dogs are connected in some way. Do we as humans possess that?
When it was cold, she always dressed warmly. Natasha was less tolerant of the cold than other dogs. You will soon see her running in the wheelchair that we just ordered for her. Love having these dogs by my side. Their affection for me is more complete than it appears.
She’s feeling so good, she wags her tail to thankful to those kind people that saved her life.
